MI survey records the date of death as 17th March, but his death was announced in the Diss Express dated 14th March, as having taken place on 13th. Coffin was carried by nephews William, Thomas & Robert Crowe, with A Bowhill, J Prentice and A Corble. Diss Express Friday March 14, 1930: Death. South Lopham (village news section). Death of Mr E. Crowe.The death occurred yesterday (Thursday) of Mr. Edgar Crowe, a prominent local agriculturalist. Mr Crowe had been in failing health for some time and died at his home, the Manor House, South Lopham at the age of 86 years. He had lived in South Lopham since his retirement, five years ago. Previous to this he had farmed the Ling Farm, Garboldisham, for twenty two years, and with the exception of this period had lived in Lopham all his life. Mr. Crowe was a life member of the Elliott charity. He leaves a widow, one son and three daughters. The funeral will take place at South Lopham Church on Monday, and flowers are to be sent to the Church.
