Biography

DUNCAN GRANT was a son of "Captain Jim on the hill", and lived to the years of bachelorhood before he married, after which he resided on lands in the Town Plot. He was attentive to business, an officious politician but not an office seeker, a good farmer, and left his possessions on the twenty-eighth day of February, 1859, at the age of 60 years.
