Kundell, 78, of Sandy Creek RD 1, widow of Sylvester Kundell, died at her home Friday, March 2, 1979. Born June 13, 1900 in Ellisburg, a daughter of Cornelious and Miranda Baker Durgee, she attended Ellisburg schools and married Austin Caufield Feb. 19, 1919. He died in March 1930. She married Francis Favret in November 1930. The couple resided at Black River. He died in 1935. In 1953 she married Sylvester J. Kundell in Pennsylvania. He died in 1975. She was employed at the Regal Paper Mill, the Benson Apron Factory, and was a waitress in Mexico and Pulaski. She was also a clerk for the New York Central Railroad in Sandy Creek and a clerk in Pulaski stores. She was a member of the Sandy Creek Grange and the Senior Citizens Nutrition Service. She was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Pulaski. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Isabelle Kundell , Richland and Mrs. Viantha (Mamie) King, Pulaski; a sister, Mrs. Eva Busek, Rome; 11 grandchildren... The funeral was held Monday at the Taylor-Vida Funeral Home... Pulaski and ... at St. John the Evangelist Church, Pulaski, with Rev. Thomas P. Whalen. Spring burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Pulaski. References
