Advisory

Some researchers [including one published work] claim that this David Robinson was a son of a John Robinson and Sarah Brockman of New Hampshire, but this appears highly doubtful. Other researchers believe he was much more likely to be the son of James Robinson and Mary Davis of Linville Creek in Augusta [later Rockingham] County, Virginia. Additional research may be needed.

    384. David F. Robinson son of John Robinson IV and Sarah Brockman, was born 1730 in Rockingham County*, Virginia. He died on 27 Jun 1785 in Rockingham County, Virginia, USA. He married Dorcas Moore abt. 1758*.
    * Several obvious errors in this source: 1) David Robinson was NOT the son of John Robinson and Sarah Brockman of New Hampshire, 2) Rockingham did not exist until it was founded from part of Augusta County in 1778, and 3) the marriage of John Robinson and Dorcas Moore likely occurred a few years earlier based upon birthdates of their children.
