David's Death Registration reports that he was a retired construction worker who had worked in that trade for 55 years and lists his ex wife as Pearl Hale. He had lived in Hedley since 1955. G. Long, executor of the estate, was the informant for the death registration.

Cause of death, suicide by gunshot wound of head. He was suffering from morbid depression and physical infirmity. Report by George E. Gurr, Princeton, BC. Inquiry held 9-10 Feb 1968.
