NEW BEDFORD is about 3 miles west of Baltic, in western TUSCARAWAS COUNTY, OHIO. The town and cemetery are along the Coshocton County line with Holmes County. About 6 miles southeast of Baltic is Stone Creek, where a group of related (by marriage only) Palatine Lowers had migrated to after 1837.

Of course, there were also others of the "Hirstein Lowers" (from the Saarland) who settled in Tuscarawas County, and some of them have been included on this WeRelate.org website.

Jack mailed "White Creek" a copy of a page of an old family Bible which included data about Daniel. Jack also mailed a B&W photocopy of Daniel's tombstone picture, and a photocopy of a picture of Daniel. From the image he looks exactly like a modern Amishman!
