Conrad and Clara lie buried on a high point a short ways from his [Oliver Bierne] old home site. The farm is now owned by Mrs. Ida W. Spangler of Peterstown. The stones placed at their graves were cut and prepared by their son, Christian Snidow Peter.
The stone at Conrad's grave bears this inscripton: "Conrad Peters, born March 14, 1786, died Dec. 25 1849 - age 63 years, 9 months, 11 days. Truly my soul waith upon God from him, my salvation Ps LXLL 1."
On the stone of Clara's grave, "Clara, wife of Conrad, was born April 23, 1790, died Jan. 16, 1856, age 75 years 8 months. Her children arise and call her blessed, and her husband also and he praiseth her, Prov. 31."
That Clara was most sincerely loved and respected by her family and descendants, seems to be proven by the lettering chiseled on her head stone by her son, and by the frequency of the names "Clara" "Burke," "Snidow," "Snider," and "Snyder" appearing among her descendants to the seventh and eighth generations.
