Priest was René Charles de BRESLAY, Claude TERIAU died the same day he was buried, eighty-seven years old. Witnesses were Jean BABINEAU & Pierre COMAU (Register--RG 1 vol. 26, p. 222). Literal transcription: "Le dixseptieme jour du mois de septembre mil sept cent vingct cinq soy sousseigné René Charles de Breslay pretre Missionaire curé de la parroisse de St. Jean B. au port Royal dans l'Acadie inhumé le corps de Claude Teriau habitant de cette parroisse aagé de quatreving et sept mort ce même jour des? mois et an apres avoir recû les sacrements. temoins Jean Babineau et Pierre Comau tous deux habitants de cette parroisse les quels ont declarés ne scavoir signer de ce in [?] elles suivant ?onnance R. C. De Breslay curé"

A note says the in Aug 1695 (old style date) Claude & his brother Bonaventure took the oath of allegiance to the King of England at Port-Royal; they made their marks on the document. Claude was buried (Port Royal Register) on 17 Sep 1725 at age 87 years.
