BIRTH:Date taken from Certified Death Certificate; Place of birth given in Death Certificate as Topeka, Kansas. I do not believe that this is correct. The records for Shawnee Co do not start until 1894. Census records also indicate place of birth as Kansas. Homestead Papers for Frank Chamberlin indicate that he homesteaded from Oct 1878 until Nov 1892 in Nicodemus, Graham Co., Kansas. I believe that this is where she was born.

Obituary - From scrapbook of Mildred M. Watrin Drake No date or name of newspaper on the clipping Mrs Watrin Passes Away Resident of This City Dies Following Lingering Illness Mrs. Joseph P Watrin, a resident of this city for 25 years died at 1:10 o'clock Sunday, June 4, 1939, at her home on Junius Avenue after a lingering illness. She suffered from high blood pressure, and was stricken with apoplexy early this spring. Belle Clara Chamberlain, daughter of Frank Chamberlain, was born at Topeka, Kansas, Jan. 6, 1888, and was in her 52nd year at the time of death. Joseph Phillip Watrin Dec. 18, 1909, at Elbow Lake, Minn. Surviving are the husband, four sons and two daughters. The children are: Lyle, Milan and Bernice, at home; Howard of this city; Mrs. LeRoy Drake of this city; and Alvin of La Crosse, Wis. She is also mourned by a brother, a sister and a half-sister- Floyd [sic] Chamberlain of Star Lake; Mrs. Cecil Langdon of Houston, Texas, and Mrs. Art Norton of this city; also by four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother and father and two children. Arrangements for the funeral have not yet been made, pending word from distant relatives, and will be announced tomorrow.
