Old Portland, Maine Records 974.1 vp85o, 1985 Maine History Library indicates marriage to Mary Smalley.

The Genealogy of Edward Small, page 138, indicates the marriage of Christopher Dyer to Mercy Small and Christopher's parents.

Morman information indicates records.

Maine Probate Abstracts, by Frost, Maine State Library 929.3 F939m 1991, vol I & II, indicate Christopher Dyer death abt. 10 Dec 1759, wife Mercy, and Henry Dyer, Joseph Strout and David Strout. Also, page 568 indicates Stephen and Mercy Randall giving the widow's account of the will, which leads us to believe that Mercy did marry Stephen Randall after Christopher's death.

Note: All of Maine was York County until 1760, when other counties, such as Cumberland County, were formed. Alfred, ME is the county seat of York County, and this is where York County Records are kept. Cumberland County Registery of Deeds starts in 1760. Cumberland County Probate starts in 1908 as earlier records were destroyed in the Portland fire.
