Acquisition of Land in Virginia:

  • Page 82 - Christopher Howard, 50 acres. Adjoining Isaac Depo, Shulers, Cratzers, Jacob Harpole, Smith. May 6, 1789. [Abstract of Land Grant Surveys, 1761-1791, Augusta & Rockingham Counties, Virginia, by Peter Cline Kaylor, pg. 125]. (Note: Christopher Hauer's daughter Eva Catherine married Isaac Depoy's son Christopher. The two families likely migrated to Rockingham County from Pennsylvania around the same time).
