She graduated from the Story City High School in 1913, received a St. Olaf Scholarship. She attended St. Olaf College, majoring in music, 1913-15. She kept house for her brother, Severt, at Denver, Colo., 1915-17. August, 1938, she, with her children, moved to Northfield, Minn. She was a part time teacher of piano at St. Olaf College after 1939. Although confined to a wheel chair she continues to enjoy visits from family and friends. She has 23 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
