Acquisition of Land from Virginia Northern Neck Land Grants 1742-1775, Vol. 2:

From Chalkley’s Augusta County Records:
- Vol. 2 - Woods vs. Williams and Clark, agents for Green, Duff and McCoy-- O. S. 389; N. S. 142--Bill by Benj. Wood, of Shenandoah, that in 1754 Wm. Whitson bought land in Frederick (Shenandoah) from James and Zackeriah McKay, 400 acres, and assigned to Charles Whitson, who died, intestate, and the land descended to Charles's heir-at-law, Jeremiah Whitson, who sold to Nehemiah Wood, who sold to orator.
