Early Land Acquisition in Virginia

  • 1754 - William Whitson bought "land in Frederick (Shenandoah) from James and Zackeriah McKay, 400 acres, and assigned to Charles Whitson, who died, intestate, and the land descended to Charles's heir-at-law, Jeremiah Whitson, who sold to Nehemiah Wood, who sold to orator", (as listed in "Woods vs. Williams and Clark", listed in records below).
