Utica Daily Press, 25 June 1983: CHARLES J. CLIFFORD, SR. Cold Brook-- Charles J. Clifford, Sr., age 69, of Hurricane RD, died June 24, 1983 at Faxton Hospital. Mr. Clifford was born February 3, 1914, in the Town of Ohio, the son of the late William and Laurie Christman Clifford. He was married to the former Lila Ferris. For over 25 years he was a self-employed mechanic at Cold Brook. Mr. Clifford was of the Methodist faith and a 25 year member of the Gray Volunteer Fire Dept. Survivors besides his wife include one daughter, Mrs. Dean (Shirley) Mallory of Cold Brook; two sons, Charles Jr. of Cold Brook and Robert of Newport; one sister, Miss Pearl Clifford of Herkimer; and nine grandchildren. The funeral will be from the Autenrith Funeral Home, Newport, on Monday... Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Poland...
