CHARLES ANDREW BEAL

 Charles Andrew Beal, aged 61 years, 5 months and 4 days, died at his home,

Lewistown, Pa., Sunday morning, Jan. 13, at 3 o'clock, after an illness since last March. Born near Meyersdale, he was a son of George W. and the late Agnes Bittner Beal.

 Surviving are his wife, the former Elizabeth Jones, and two sons and four

daughters: Sergeant Earl E. Beal, U.S. Army, France; Charles R. Beal, Lewistown; Mrs. John (Mildred) Davidson, Akron, Ohio; Mrs. Joseph (Freda) Straley, McVeytown, Pa.; Mrs. James (Helen) Upton and Mrs. Louisa Anna Belle Hoover, both at home. Five grandchildren are living.

 Other survivors are his father, George W. Beal, Meyersdale; four brothers and

four sisters: William, Roy and John Beal, Elk Lick Township; James Beal, Akron, Ohio; Mrs. Mary Rhodes, Canton, Ohio; Mrs. Margaret Staub, Shaw Mines; Mrs. Elmer (Hattie) Shawley, Bittinger, Md.; Mrs. Nellie Byrnes, Farmington, Pa.

 Until March, 1945, Mr. Beal was an employee of the American Viscose

Corporation in the engineering department. He was a member of Trinity Reformed Church, Lewistown.

 Funeral services were conducted at the Barchus funeral home, Lewistown,

Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. His pastor, Rev. Dr. Rupley, officiated. Burial was made in the William Lind Memorial Cemetery.
