    "SCARBORO and MELBOURNE, Fla. - Caro Babbidge Wentworth, 79, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2006, at Springbrook Nursing Care Facility, Westbrook, with family at her side. Caro was born Feb. 25, 1927, in Islesboro, the daughter of Courtney and Edith Leach Babbidge. She was a 1944 graduate of Islesboro High School where she played on the basketball team.

    Caro was predeceased by her sisters, Nancy Berry and Marilyn Roberts; and her brother, Eben Babbidge. Visiting hours will be held 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, at Hobbs Funeral Home, 230 Cottage Road, South Portland. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29, at the funeral home. Burial will be private at Brooklawn Memorial Park.
