    "Nichols, Caleb, s. of Francis. … Will of Caleb, Sr., of Woodbury, 14 Aug. 1690, proved 8 Nov. 1690; wife Ann; oldest son Samuel and his child Josiah; sons John, Caleb, Abraham; three daus. Mary, Anna, Phebe; friends Mr. Zachariah Walker, Capt. John Minor, and John Sherman, overseers. Widow was called Hannah when she swore to Inv. [Caleb's will did not name married daus.] Abraham, Caleb and John Nichols, Joseph Hull in behalf of Mary his wife, Phebe wife of Isaac Knell, and Anna Nichols the widow, agree to a distribution, Est. of Caleb Nichols, 28 May 1702. Ann had Sarah, b. 11 Dec. 1651[1]; Ann, 5 Mar. 1653; Esther, 18 Feb. 1655; Joseph, 25 Dec. 1656; Samuel, 29 Mar. 1658; Andrew, 28 Nov. 1659; Abraham, 19 Jan. 1662; Abigail, Feb. 1664; Hannah, Aug. 1667; Caleb, Feb. 1669; Phebe, 12 Nov. 1671; and John, Nov. 1676; rem. to Woodbury, and d. 1690. In his will of 6 Aug. in that yr. he names Samuel, John, Caleb, and Abraham, of his six s. and three ds. Mary, Ann, and Phebe, beside Moses Wheeler, John Prentiss, and William Martin, call. by him s.-in-law. Wheeler had m. 20 Oct. 1674, the d.
