"Nichols, Caleb, s. of Francis. … Will of Caleb, Sr., of Woodbury, 14 Aug. 1690, proved 8 Nov. 1690; wife Ann; oldest son Samuel and his child Josiah; sons John, Caleb, Abraham; three daus. Mary, Anna, Phebe; friends Mr. Zachariah Walker, Capt. John Minor, and John Sherman, overseers. Widow was called Hannah when she swore to Inv. [Caleb's will did not name married daus.] Abraham, Caleb and John Nichols, Joseph Hull in behalf of Mary his wife, Phebe wife of Isaac Knell, and Anna Nichols the widow, agree to a distribution, Est. of Caleb Nichols, 28 May 1702. In his will of 6 Aug. in that yr. he names Samuel, John, Caleb, and Abraham, of his six s. and three ds.
