From 1853 to death Lt.-Col. of militia; a leading, trusted citizen in the settlement; m. 26 Feb 1827, Esther Munsill, b. Yorkshire, Eng., 6 Apr. 1806, emigrated 1819, d. 2 Mar. 1886, at the residence of her daughter Hinson, in Menasha, Wis.; an active member of the Wesleyan Church of Canada, gratified by the connection of her entire family with that church."
