"Carlock/Whitman Netherlands Huntington's Disease". I believe she is referring to Catherine CARLOCK (d/o David, Hans), who can be found on pages 436 and 437 of the book "History of the Carlock Family", by Marion Pomeroy CARLOCK, 1929. The book says that Catherine's older siblings were born in Holland after their father left Germany and before he migrated to America. According to page 437, Catherine was "b. 1725; paid taxes Rockbridge Co., Va., 6 head cattle 1782; m. _____ Whitman, son of Charles and Sarah Whitman, brother of the second wife of Hanchrist Carlock [her brother]; widow in 1782." The book lists two children for Catherine: Mary WHITMAN who m. William BRADLEY, 1791; and Barbara WHITMAN who m. John JAMESON and had children named Jean, Cathrin, and John.
