1895 Census has A Miller (August) and A (according to the age this is probably Emelie Amalia) Miller with 11 children. Microfilm copy is terrible and I can't determine which of the children are on the census.

The ship "America" set sail from Bremen, Germany and stopped in Southampton, England, before arriving in New York on 16 April 1869. On board were Daniel Neubauer (age 57), his wife Wilhelmina Tesma Neubauer (age 56), and their children Emilie (age 17) and William (age 16). Also travelling with them were their married daughters with their families: John Weise (age 33), his wife Augusta Neubauer Weise (age 32), and their children August (age 8), John (age 6), Gustave (age 4), and William (age .11); August Mueller (age 29), his wife Elizabeth Neubauer Mueller (age 27), and their children Auguste (age .11) and William (age .11). The families entered Logan Township in Ontario on 26 July 1869. With the redrawing of national borders following World War II, Zempelburg now is located in Poland and called Sepolno Krajenskie.

Geraldine Stockman notes contained the following data: IMMIGRATION: Daniel Neubauer, aged 57, and Wilhelmina Tesma, age 56, immigrated to America from Bremen, Germany to New York on the ship "America" arriving 16Apr 1869. Traveling with them was their daughter, Emilie, age 17, and son, William, age 16. NOTES: August and Anna Neubauer Mueller left Germany with five children; the three eldest were lost at sea. William and Augusta survived and settled with their parents inLogan Twp., NW of Seebach's Hill, Ontario. After Anna died in 1874 August married her younger sister, Emelia Neubauer. They emigrated to Minnesota in 1879. Both August and Emelia are buried in St. Matthew's Lutheran Cemetery, Almena (Barron) WI.

U.S. CENSUS: August Miller (age 40 and a farmer) was listed as head of household for home #61, family #61 in the 1880 U.S. Census for the inhabitants of the Township ofElmore (Faribault) MN as of 17 Jun 1880. Also listed in the household were Emla (age 27), Augusta (age 12), William (age 11), Christian (age 5), August (age 4), Alwinia(age 2), Otto (age 9/12), and Daniel Neubuaer (age 69 and father-in-law).

MINNESOTA CENSUS: August Miller (age 44) was listed as head of household for family #77 in the 1885 Minnesota Census for the inhabitants of the Township of Elmore(Faribault) MN as of 19 May 1885. Also listed in the household were Emily (age 32), Augusta (age 17), William (age 16), Christian (age 10), August (age 9), Alvina (age 7),Otto (age 6), Ida (age 4), Philip (age 2), and Gustav (age 4/12).

HISTORY: "About fifty years ago a number of Lutherans belonging to Immanuel Lutheran Church, Emerald Township, Minnesota asked and received permission from theircongregation to organize a new congregation in Elmore Township. They requested their pastor, Rev. John Grabarkewitz, to serve them and a number of other Lutheransliving in that community with Word and Sacrament. At the home of Mr. August Stoeckman, living a mile south of here, on December 14, 1884 they organized St. John'sEvangelical Lutheran Congregation. HISTORY: According to family history given by Christian David Miller his father, August Miller, came to this country by ship and that he lost his wife and five children on thevoyage. He later married his wife's younger sister. HISTORY: August D. Miller bought the Gores 80 acre farm on 10 Nov 1902 for $1900. The farm was transferred to his father August Michael Miller on 25 Mar 1905 for$2300 who bought the farm from Peter and Mary Reuter. The farm was deeded to Emelie Neubauer Miller on 15 Feb 1909 for $1. The farm was later deeded to John R.Miller on 18 Feb 1915 for $5000. HISTORY: "August Miller was born in Germany. He came to America in 1869, lived in Canada until 1879, and then came to the states and located in Faribault County,Minn., where he farmed until 1904. In that year he came to Barron County and bought 160 acres of land in Clinton Township. He and his wife now make their home with Mr.and Mrs. Rolf. By his first wife he had seven children. of whom there is now living one, Augusta, the wife of Otto Stockman, of Sand Point, Idaho. By his second wife he hastwelve children: Christian D., August D., otto, Phillip H., John R., Albert H., Alvina, wife of Fred Miller of Forest Lake, Minn.; Ida, wife of George Boedeker of Almena;Emele, wife of Herman Rolf; Ottilie, wife of Herman Curt; and Anna, the wife of Adolf Rolf.
