1990 - Newspaper clipping, obituary: Anne R. Russell. Foster grandparent at area school. Anne R. Russell, 71, of Woodside Place, Town of Niagara, died Friday (Feb 9, 1990) in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center after a short illness. She was born in Lewiston on June 14, 1918, and attended local schools. She was a deacon at Niagara Presbyterian Church, Military and Lockwood roads, Town of Niagara. She was a foster grandparent at Military Road School and a volunteer at Niagara Falls memorial Medical Center. She was the wife of Ernest E. Russell, who died in 1983, and mother of the late Barbara Chew. Mrs Russell is survived by two daughters, Shirley Kelly of Mantua, Ohio, and Kathleen McKinney of Niagara Falls; a sister, Beulah Sopczuk of North Tonawanda; five grandchildren, three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.... A memorial service will be held at 7:30pm Monday at Niagara Presbyterian Church with the Rev Knight W. Washburn officiating. Burial will be private.
