In the name of God amen. I Ann Clark, of the township of Martick in the county of Lancaster and the state of Pennsylvania, widow, being weakened in body, but of sound mind memory and understanding. And considering the uncertainty of this transitory life do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following to wit.

First. It is my will and I do order, that all my just debts and funeral expenses be duly paid and satisfied as soon as conveniently can be done after my decease.

Item. I give and bequeath unto my daughter, Sarah, intermarried with William McFalls, the sum of Ten Dollars to be paid to her as soon as my hereinafter executor, shall collect the same thought of the estate of my brother, John Shoaff deceased, which will fall to me as soon or at the decease of his widow, by the laws of Pennsylvania, but in case the said Sarah should die before said widow of John Shoaff, then the said sum of Ten Dollars shall fall and I bequeath the same unto my grandson John Lighthiser his heirs and assigns.

Item. I give and bequeath unto my granddaughter Mary, intermarried with Samuel Moore, the sum of Ten Dollars, to be paid to her as soon as my hereinafter executor or shall collect the same out of the state of my brother John Shoaff decease, as aforesaid, which will fall to me as soon or at the decease of his widow by the laws of Pennsylvania. But in case the said Mary should die before said widow of John Shoaff deceased, then the said sum of Ten Dollars, shall fall and I do bequeath the same unto my said grandson John Lighthiser and to his heirs and assigns.

Item. I give and bequeath unto the rest of my children, namely Frederick, John, David, Daniel and Berkeley Clark, each the sum of One Dollar in manner as aforesaid after the decease of the widow of aforesaid. But in case any of therein and are dead, or shall died before said widow of John Shoaff deceased, then it shall fall, and I do bequeath the same unto the said John Lighthiser into his heirs. And as touching all the rest, residue and remainder of my estate or estates, is real and personal of what kind or nature whatsoever, the same may be in the county of Lancaster or elsewhere, I give and devise and bequeath the same unto my said grandson John Lighthiser, and to his heirs and assigns forever.

And lastly. I nominate constitute an appoint my said grandson John Lighthiser, my soul executor of this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all other wills, legacies, bequests and promises by me heretofore made and declaring this and no other to be my last will and testament in writing.

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and sealed by affixing my mark thereunto be twenty-second day of September, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred forty-three.

On the eighth day of March, 1845, before me this subscriber personally appeared William Rice and John Shoff, the subscribing witnesses to the preceding will, and on their solemn affirmations say that they were present and saw and heard Ann Clark

the testatrix therein named sign, seal, publish, pronounce and declare the same to be her last will and testament, and at the doing thereof she was of sound and well disposing mind, memory and understanding, to the best of her knowledge, observation and belief.

March 8th 1845. Letters testamentary granted to John Lighthiser, the executor, he being the duly affirmed well and truly to administer the goods and chattels, rights and credits of the said testatrix according to law, and also that he will diligently and faithfully regard and will truly comply to the provisions of the law relating to the collateral inheritances.
