Morrison, Andrew - born 10/24/1754 in New York; moved when child with father to [then Frederick] Berkeley County, Virginia; moved in 1779 to Greenbrier County [prior to 1768 was Augusta] (area then [actually later] Pocahontas County), Virginia, where entered service in 1779 against Indians; applied for Pension there in 1835 & Pension Application rejected, insufficient proof of service; query letter in file states soldier died 9/15/1845 in Greenbrier County, Virginia near Martinsburh.    Andrew Morrison was born October 24, 1754 in the State of New York. His parents were Nathaniel Morrison and Thankful Heriman.
   He married Elizabeth Taylor in Virginia about 1776.
   In 1776 Andrew Morrison, along with brother John Morrison, are on the payroll of Capt. John Chilton of the 3rd Virginia Regiment.
   He spent most of his life living in Greenbrier County, Virginia (now West Virginia).
   He is buried in the Morrison Cemetery which is now known as Walnut Grove Cemetery, next to his wife Elizabeth.
