• 24 March 1812, Hampshire County, VA Land Entry Book: Amarey Day Enters 186½ acres of waste land lying in Hampshire County on the drains of the little Cacapehon adjoining the land of Elisha Bell, Steel Ruchman and Reorks by virtue of part of a Land Office Treasury Warrant No. 4671 Dated 8 November 1812.

   Ammery Day married Nancy Brown (daughter of Alexander Brown) bef. 1790.As mentioned, they had sons Larkin (b. 1790), William (b. 1801) and John (b. ?).Ammery and Nancy either seperated or divorced.Nancy then shacked up or perhaps married Thomas Henderson.Amery Day and Nancy's brothers (Brown) witnessed Thomas Henderson's will (dated 6 November 1815 and proved 30 April 1818, in Hampshire Co., VA).
