"Monday Rites conducted For Ameal W. Meir Final rites were conducted at the St. Joseph Catholic church of Klacking Creek on Monday of this week for Ameal W. Meir, 74, of Klacking township who passed away October 5 at his home. A farmer, Mr. Meir was born in this county on May 18, 1887 and had lived here all of his life. He was united in marriage to the former Mary Braunscheidel in Detroit on June 12, 1918 and the couple have made their home here since their marriage. Surviving are his wife; three sons, Andrew, Frederick and Clarence, all of Rose City; a daughter, Mrs. Frances Cleveland of Detroit; four sisters, Mrs. Rachel Schneider of St. Clair, Mrs. Irene Hauck of Milme, Ont.; and Mrs. Josephine Fritz and Mrs. Mary Sheppard of West Branch and 14 grandchildren. The Rev. Father Edward Trombley officiated at the rites and burial was in the Klacking Creek Cemetery."
