Facts and Events
Alvin Wallace Reavis was always known by the name Wally (in fact he disliked his name Alvin). His family moved from Georgia and eventually ended up in the St. Louis, Missouri area where he worked for Ozark Airlines (which later became TWA). He married Louise Simpson, who was a stewardess, and lived in the St. Louis suburb of Kirkwood, Missouri. In their retirement years, they lived in a beautiful house on the lake (Lake Genevieve?), but later downsized to an apartment and eventually a duplex in the city of Janesville, Wisconsin to be close to family. Wally was very gentle and kindhearted, with a good sense of humor. He would often ask someone at a meal, "Are you gonna eat that?" His bald head would turn red when he had a good laugh or drank a little wine. He enjoyed gardening and taking care of his lawn, and attended Trinity Episcopal Church in Janesville. He once traveled to Jerusalem as part of a religious tour group and traveled on other vacations, often taking grandchildren with him. References
