"CRASH INJURY PROVES FATAL. Mrs. Alma P. Frane, 60, Died After Tuesday Accident. Mrs. Alma . Frane, 60, of R. R. No. 10, Fort Wayne, became Allen county's twentieth traffic victim of 1938 yesterday when she died at 12:15 p.m. in St. Joseph's hospital of injuries suffered Tuesday when the car in which she was riding was rammed by a gravel truck at the Tillman Road and Anthony boulevard extended south of Fort Wayne. Mrs. Frane suffered a compound fracture of the left leg, severe cuts and lacerations about her body and internal injuries. Her son, Leslie Frane, 26, of the same address, suffered a broken left leg, severe cuts and bruises in the accident. Carl D. Martin of R. R. The accident occurred when Martin drove his truck onto Tillman road in a wide right turn, police said, striking the westbound Frane machine on the left side. Apparently he did not see the auto. Mrs. Frane was a charter member of the St. Aloysius church at Yoder and a member of the church's Rosary society. Surviving are the husband, Charles; two sons, Leslie and Arthur, both at home; four daughters, Mrs. Beatrice Lomont or Montpelier, O., Mrs. Esther Castleman of Monroeville, Lucille and Mary Frane, at home; a brother, Charles Gladieux, Monroeville; three sisters, Mrs. Estella Vanderley, Mrs. Nora Dager and Mrs. Lucy Oberly, all of Monroeville, and one grandchild. The body was taken to the Ternet & Schilb funeral home at New Haven and will be returned home this afternoon. Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 9 o'clock at the residence and at 9:30 (DST) at the St. Aloysius church, Rev. Jesse Lothamer officiating. Burial will be in the Besancon cemetery.
