I found the marriage of a William Scorgie, 22 who married Mary E E Rain,23 d/o Robert Rain and Mary Wheeler, I think this is the right one as the parents are according to her marriage to Peter Moffat, they married, 6 Mar 1845. Both born in Darlington Wm Scorgie and his wife Mary Elizabeth Ramm had three children.
