- Dale, Abraham - entered service 1778 at Richmond County, Virginia; moved in 1785 to Fayette County (later Woodford County), Kentucky, where he died 11/1831; married Mary Weakley 12/20/1787; widow granted Pension age 71 in Woodford County, Kentucky, 1841 & resided there in 1843; children's births: Jerremiah 11/12/1788, Stephen 12/17/1789, Thomas 4/20/1791, Achsah 2/20/1793, Noah 1/15/1796, Phebe 10/6/1798, Weakley 5/19/1801, Timothy Redding 1/1/1804, Perlina 8/2/1806, Dudley 8/5/1809, Abraham N. 2/8/1813, Maryann 7/29/1814; 3 eldest children died as infants; other family bible data: Cagely, son of George Dale & Hannah, born 10/3/1778; query letter in file in 1922 from George W. Wright, Albany, Oregon, states soldier married (1) Eva Fletcher & they had daughter Mary Kate who married querier's great grandfather Abraham Riley in Kentucky soon after Revolutionary War; query letter in file in 1927 from Mrs. Lola Dale Harris, Ontario, California states soldier's son Reuben botn 1774; query letter in file in 1935 from descendant Mrs. Susan D. McCalie, Liberty, Missouri, says her mother Mary Dale was daughter of soldier's son Weakley, who moved in 1827 from Kentucky to Missouri. F-W8648, R731.
