  4. A careful reading of the various records involved strongly implies that this Abigail Williams is the one who died at Middletown 16 January 1731/32. John Williams' will of 27 February 1721/22 names his wife Abigail, but since his marriage to this Abigail apparently did not occur until after 1 December 1724, the wife Abigail must have been [[Person:Abigail Ambrose (3)|the Abigail (Ambrose) Clark whom he married in 1702. That being the case, the recorded death of Abigail Williams, wife of John, at Middletown early in 1732, must refer to this woman.
