↑ We know Abigail belongs in this family because Abigail Reed is named in her father's will of 1757, and daughter Abigail Wire is named in her mother's will of 1769. Her age is hard to determine. Her marriage in 1758 suggests she was born before 1740, her age at death suggests 1749, according to Wyman, vol. 2, p. 1054, she was 58 in 1785 by one record [born about 1727] and 74 in 1813 in another [born about 1739]. None of these correspond to a gap in her sibling's births, and so it is hard to guess which one might be correct.
