ADVISORIES

First Note of Caution

Researchers agree that Thomas Bartlett of Richmond and Harrison counties had a daughter named Ann(e)/Nancy and that this daughter married (1) Christopher Chinn and (2) "Thomas Hall".

HOWEVER, opinions continue to differ on the identity of "Thomas Hall." The two leading candidates are:

  1. Thomas Hall, Rev. War Patriot A049540 who died in Mt. Sterling, Montgomery, Kentucky, and
  2. Thomas Hall, lawyer son of Edward Hall who died unknown.

Any evidence (including theories) to support either of these relationships should be added to these pages. Discussion of the evidence can be conducted on the talk pages for each person/family pages.

[At this time, the family of Rev. Patriot Thomas Hall and Anne is attached to this page, since I believe the evidence supports it and I am currently working on these pages. This can be easily adjusted if it is proven incorrect in the future. Thank you. --Cos1776 13:04, 18 November 2012 (EST)]

Second Note of Caution

Many DAR applications have listed this Thomas Hall as a child of this family. As with most DAR applications of the time, sources were not provided. Some of the dates and places listed do not match the known facts of the life of Patriot A049540 Thomas Hall, therefore it is likely that the parents were incorrect. Proceed with caution. --Cos1776 10:39, 9 December 2011 (EST)

Possible Additional Children

Other Abstracts of this record do not mention the daughter Elizabeth, so until the record is found and examined, we can not be sure.
  • Daniel Hall b 1795, Harrison County, VA who m Milly Yelton and settled in Rush County, Indiana. A working theory by cos1776. See his page for more information.
