Louis and Virginia had three children, one daughter and two sons.

In 1938, they were living at 2909 Reed Street in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Louis was a driver for Indian Refrigerating Company.

Louis' obituary reads, "LOUIS F. ROUSSEL, 84, died Sunday at home. Born in New Haven, he was a lifelong Fort Wayne resident. He was owner of Roussel Bros. Hardware from 1950 to 1960 and owner of Roussel Marine from 1960 to 1972. Surviving are his wife, Virginia L.; two sons, John F. and James L., both of Fort Wayne; a daughter, Joyce A. Burns of Fort Wayne; a sister, Juanita Jacquay of Panama City, Fla.; two brothers, Wilbur of Albuquerque, N. M. and Aldon of Lake Okeechobee, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Services at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Jude Catholic Church, East State Boulevard at Randallia Drive. Calling from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at D. O McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave., with a rosary service at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. Burial in Catholic Cemetery.
