"It is said, but on what authority it is not known, that, after a short residence in this country, he returned to England, and that while there he married. His wife is said to have been of French descent. Her baptismal name was Susannah, but of her family name no trace has, up to the present time, been found. … Stiles, in his History of Wethersfield, gives also a Noah, d. young, and Ichabod, d. young, as children of John Wadham. No record, however, has been found at Wethersfield of the birth of these two children in connection with this John."
