The Essex Antiquarian, p. 2:174, "Part of Salem in 1700" by Sidney Perley, traces the ownership of the property of John Milk. It was sold to him by a Thomas Hale 6 Oct 1666. The northern half went to son John and the southern half to daughter Mary. Mary's half was sold by Joseph Wesson of Reading, his wife Sarah probably daughter and heir of Mary. John's half was sold by John Milk of Boston and James Milk of Falmouth, ME.
