Family:John McCutcheon and Agnes Porter (1)

Agnes Porter was born in Augusta County, VA. about 1765 and was the daughter of William Porter Jr. and Mary Bowen,of Rockbridge Co., VA. whose parents were William Porter Sr. and Gean (Mackey) and John Bowen and Lily McIlhenny. She married John McCutcheon 17 Dec. 1789 in Rockbridge Co.VA. She died in Davidson County, TN. after 1841. John and Agnes moved to Davidson Co. TN in 1790. They are probably buried on their land on or near Otter Tail Creek. Their children were: Mary b. 1791 m. Edward McNeil 3 Dec. 1829 Samuel b. 1792 m. Betsy Lizenbury 16 Sep. 1830 (Bond date) d. before 1852 William b. 9 Sep. 1793 m. Matilda Collins 6 May, 1816 Elizabeth b. 1795 m. ____ Scott Jane b. 1797 or 98 m. James Campbell 28 Sep. 1825 Sarah b. 1800 Never married James b. 6 Oct. 1806 d. 1879 Eleanor b. 1803 or 1808(both dates listed) m. Isaac Wyatt. d. before 1850. John B. (Jack) b. 1810-12 d. before 1856 m. Mary Harriet Porter d/o Nathaniel and Kittie(Rucker) Porter. After the death of her husband, she married a Mr. Sharp.
