James Williams of this Parish and Hannah Linney of this Parish were married in this Church by Banns with Consent of [blank] this Nineteenth Day of May in the Year one thousand eight hundred and twenty one By me John Wilson Vicar
This Marriage was solemnized between us {James Williams his Mark X / Hannah Linney's X Mark
In the Presence of {Thomas Hall / W[illia]m Drage

William Drage witnessed most marriages at Leighton Buzzard around this time so was presumably connected to the church rather than the couple.

This marriage can be linked to the Hannah Linney daughter of Thomas Linney and Mary Tring on the basis of the 1841 census in which Hannah and James and their children were in the same house as Hannah's brother John, and the 1851 census in which Hannah and James's daughter Mary Ann was living with Hannah's sister Caroline and described as Caroline's niece.
