James moved to Canada in August 1883. Naomi came to Canada in Nov 1883 with her parents and siblings. They first settled in Valleyfield, Que. and then moved to Cornwall, Ont around 1887

They are shown in the 1921 census in Cornwall township (Glengary-Stormont #10 polling). George is still living with them. Also, the Merkell family and sister-in-law, Mahalah Fortis, sre living there.
