Lowell Sun, April 21, 1938: GALLAGHER--DURKEE In the chapel of the Tewksbury novitate on Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock Miss Edna E. Durkee, staff nurse at the Long Island Hospital, Boston, became the bride of Mr. James S. Gallagher, employee of the Tewksbury State Hospital. The wedding attendants were Mrs. Mary Connolly, sister of the bride, and Mr. Thomas Leonard, friend of the bridegroom. Rev. Denis A. Sullivan, O.M.I., pastor of St. William's Church, officiated at the ceremony. A three piece navy traveling suit with matching accessories and shoulder corsage was worn by the bride.... Following the ceremony a reception was held at 139 Concord Street. Later in the day Mr. and Mrs. Gallagher left on a wedding trip and upon their return they will make their home at 139 Concord Street. Mrs. Gallagher is a graduate of St. Charles High School, Woburn, and the State Hospital at Tewksbury. Mr. Gallagher was graduated from Brockton High School.
