Elizabeth's age was recorded as 22 years and George's as 23 years when they married. Both were free. They were married at St David's Church, Hobart by William BEDFORD, after Banns. Both signed their name.

Witnesses to the wedding were John EDDINGTON and Elizabeth EDDINGTON. It is not known for certain what the relationship of the Eddington's to this family was. Elizabeth and John EDDINGTON maybe the children of Gov. David COLLINS's mistress. An EDDINGTON married a MUMMERY who ran the school James William ROBINSON (eldest son of George and Elizabeth) went to.

Altogether Elizabeth and George had eight children. The second last, George, died as a toddler when he drowned near their inn called The Black Snake.
