He married CATHERINE PARKES 1769, daughter of JAMES PARKS and MARTHA FULTON. She was born December 26, 1749 in Prince Edward County, Virginia, and died March 25, 1825 in Charlotte County, Charlotte, Virginia.

Andrew Wallace b. circa 1770 Rockbridge/Augusta County Virginia. There is a marrage record of a Andrew Wallace and a Margaret Calbreath/Galbraith on 3 Mar 1796 in Augusta County Virginia. My GGG Grandparents had a son named Thomas M. Wallace born in 1805 in Macon County Tennessee. Thomas M. Wallace married a Jane Calbreath/Galbraith in1828. Thomas and Jane had seven children in Tennessee and moved to Simpson County Kentucky in the 1850's where he died in 1861. I Discovered a book in the Virginia State Library named " Woods, Wallace, Cousins, Clues" that links Andrew Wallace to a Samuel Wallace; the son of Peter Wallace from Ulster Ireland. Any information regarding Andrew and Margaret would be greatly appreciated.

Andrew Wallace b. 1712 in Ireland and his wife Margaret Woods b. ca. 1714, also Ireland, had a son samuel b. 1736 in VA, he had a son, named Andrew who supposedly moved to PA, Carlisle, I believe. This Andrew had a son by the name of David who then had a son, the Gen. Lew Wallace. After all these generations, that would put the General as an adult around the time of the Civil War. There should be info on him in abundance as he was quite well known. I do not know any of his ancestors info as I descend from Andrew Wallace and margaret Woods through their daughter and have not researched much on the lines of her siblings. Stephanie
