Changes to Johannes Monger (1) [26 March 2016]

Hi, Trebcabb,

I see you have recently made a number of changes to the page(s) for Person:Johannes Monger (1), but haven't providing any supporting source information. On a wiki site, like WeRelate, where everyone shares information about an ancestor on the same page, it's important to add your sources. This is especially true when there is a difference of opinion, It's also especially true when you are dealing with an ancestor as early as Johannes, when records can get a little scarce, and too often earlier speculation among researchers has become accepted as "fact" without ever being proven.

One of the changes you made was to Johannes death date, where you gave an exact date. Do you have a source for this?

The other problem is that you have added a second name for his wife on the same family page as the first name for his wife. However, only one wife should appear on a family page. Also, it's not clear from your additions what you are trying to say. Are you trying to say that Person:Anna Burckin (1) and Person:Ann Perkey (1) are the same person? If so, then you need to provide the sources that show they are the same person.

Or perhaps you are trying to say that Johannes married twice, once to Person:Anna Burckin (1) and once to Person:Ann Perkey (1)? If so, then you need to create a second family page for Johannes and Ann Perkey, with your sources added.

If you need help straightening this out, please feel free to ask me -- or the other person who is watching that page, as he may have more information. The bottom line, however, is that you really need to be adding sources, and if you disagree with the information already there, provide explanations and perhaps talk to the other people who have contributed information.
