Can you take a look at the family of Frank Fitzgerald (1833- ) and Caroline Fitzgerald (1839, Ohio - 1914) and let me know if Caroline's maiden name is actually Fitzgerald or if she was accidentally entered with her married surname? I am finished with the review. Since I haven't heard back and there is no source for her maiden name on her page, I will make an assumption that Caroline's maiden name was not Fitzgerald. sorry I was not able to respond quick enough; Regarding Caroline Fitzgerald having same surname as her spouse Frank Fitzgerald, you are correct in that it is not her maiden, but married surname, & that I have not found this info. My mom started researching our family history abt 20-30 years ago, & myself joining her in this abt 4 yrs back. At any rate, placing a married woman in tree with married surname has been how mom chose to handle not having found the maiden name when she put them into tree. There are a few other women throughout our tree she has with married surnames, as well. When we see this ourselves, it reminds us we do not have this info yet. This is also the case with Caroline Fitzgerald, and I'm sure it is only temporary, & as you said, easily fixed when we do find it. Thanks for the heads up anyway, It never hurts to check.
