[add comment] [edit] Next step: Review your GEDCOM [7 September 2009]You're not done yet! WeRelate is different from most family tree websites. By contributing to WeRelate you are helping to create Pando for genealogy, a free, unified family tree that combines the best information from all contributors. Now that you have uploaded malc.GED, your next step is to review what your pages will look like, review any potential warnings, and combine (merge) people in your GEDCOM with matching people already on WeRelate. You need to review your GEDCOM before it can finish importing. Click here to review your GEDCOM Once you have finished your review and marked your GEDCOM Ready to import, one of our administrators will review your GEDCOM and finalize the import. This usually happens within 24 hours. You will receive a message here when the pages have been created.
[add comment] [edit] Your Gedcom Files [7 September 2009]Hello and welcome to WeRelate. I am importing your gedcom file for you and I noticed that you have duplicate people within the file. On WeRelate we like to have one page per person and per family. If you will look at the MyRelate menu there is an item called "Show Duplicates". This will show you a list of possible duplicates that the system has identified. By clicking on one, you will have a chance to merge them if they are the same people; or you can mark them as not matching if that is the case. If you will do this on your next visit (tomorrow) you can handle this. Write back here if you have a problem, I will be watching this page. --Judy (jlanoux) 19:03, 7 September 2009 (EDT) (WeRelate volunteer) [add comment] [edit] malc.GED Imported Successfully [7 September 2009]The pages from your GEDCOM have been generated successfully. [add comment] [edit] Barbara Duncan Rae [1 January 2012]Hello There I am hoping you can help me along here. I have searched this person whom I believe is my Great Grandmother. My mother has advised me that she is Barbara Walkers niece. We are hoping to make some connections and/or fill in some blanks. We would be grateful for any information you would be able to share. From the coding at the bottom of some of the pages, we think that you perhaps could be Malcom Walker, son of Barbara Walker and Clarence Walker.
