[add comment] [edit] Recent changes [25 September 2012]Hello, I noticed some recent changes you've made to pages of the family of the following Person: On his page, you've included three names as the primary name and separated them by an "OR" in between each name. We would ask that you only include the "primary", preferred or most-common name in the primary name field and other (or less-commonly accepted names) be added as "alternate names", as listed in WeRelate's Naming Conventions listed on our Help Pages. Please consult the Naming Conventions page listed in the future and avoid adding multiple names with "OR" in the Name Fields. Also, you've added a different father to Cornstalk, which appears to disagree with other information added by several Users, so I've asked User:Cthrnvl, who had done extensive research on this family to get in touch with you to check records and resolve any differences that exist. Thanks for your cooperation and best regards, Jim Volunteer Administrator on WeRelate--Delijim 08:38, 25 September 2012 (EDT) [add comment] [edit] Cornstalk family [26 September 2012]Hi LotteSV! Are you in the John Wesley Reed line?? That's me too. I see you are working on Harman. It is so nice to have some kin here to work on this. You asked me about Louisa Harman, and no I don't have a reference on that. I will tell you what I have when I get home. Running off to acupuncture for my partner Mike (he had a stroke in Feb.). When I get back I will try to work out with you how we can collaborate on Cornstalk's father etc. Recently I have been finding a lot of references in old books online. I think Okowellos and Paxinosa are the same person. But they may be two and I will need to separate the two. Those are the names used by the colonists. I don't think the colonists used Whitefish in their books but I haven't even gotten there yet. Anyway, I'll be back this evening. --cthrnvl 15:48, 25 September 2012 (EDT) I took a look at your lines and the fact that the person in question is in Tazewell makes a lot of sense to me because I am in a study group - and how the group formed is that we all have mysterious Indian ancestors that seemed to have hid out in Indian Creek, Tazewell, married into white families and therefore avoided the removal in the 1800s. Would you like to join our group? Here is the link. We just got a new member who may be able to look things up locally. --cthrnvl 13:22, 26 September 2012 (EDT) |
