Welcome to WeRelate! WeRelate is different from most family tree websites. By contributing to WeRelate you are helping to create Pando for genealogy, a free, unified family tree that combines the best information from all contributors.

Now that you have uploaded your GEDCOM, your next step is to preview what your pages will look like and combine (merge) people in your GEDCOM with matching people already on WeRelate. When you have finished your review, your GEDCOM will be imported. Click here to review your GEDCOM.

Hauser family from Fautenbach [3 September 2010]

Hi Jnhouser and dallan and greetings from what I think will prove to be a distant cousin in Canada! I found your information tonight while digging for my own Hauser family from Fautenbach.

My most distant relative from there is my fifth great grandfather HIERONIMOUS HAUSER. He was born in Fautenbach on sep 30 1726 and married to Maria Eva Schwanz on nov 11 1755 also in Fautenbach 11 children including a Franz Joseph and a Franz Ignaz and that fancy latin name makes me wonder if Dyonisius and he could connect? I have vague parentage of Hieron (Jerome) as Michael and Franziska Weber but I can't prove that with any first party research. Also have an as yet not related Jacob HAUSER married to Anastasia Raber with 8 kids born between 1724 and 1735 in Fautenbach.

It's been at least four years since I seriously looked at this family line any chance you have any collaborating evidence? Perhaps we can exchange further?--Philhauser 20:20, 2 September 2010 (EDT)

Hi Phil. We corresponded about a year or two back. I got my Fautenbach data from Rose Weber, who did research there. I feel like if we went back another generation or two, we could make a connection. I'm guessing Dyonisius and Hironymous were cousins.--Jhhouser 09:54, 3 September 2010 (EDT)

Yes, I do recall speaking to you sorry. Still, it has been a long while since I actually dusted off any research on this line (or any) it would appear I am having a relapse of genelogitis because I find myself inspired again to dig further.

Several days ago I received some pages of the "Ortsfamilienbuch der katholicshen Pgarrgemeinde St. Johannes d.T. Ottersweier 1641-1940" from a fellow researcher who sent me the "Hauser pages"

First full family entry (#1979 on page 428 of the publication) My "translation" in caps following any regular text

So, we have three families around the right time to be parents to your Alois and my Hieronymous!

Ottersweier is certainly close enough to Fautenbach to be a possibility, I don't know what more we can now do to research? I am hoping to view the entier Familienbuch noted above. The first family has a Michael and Johann so they could have been brothers. The first and second family could also be related given the proximity of ages to the new children.

If you have any idea where to look next I am all ears. I can email you a pdf of these ten pages or so if you like? perhaps you will see something that jumps out at you. Just can't recall your email address.
