Jacob Hindirks Wester [24 April 2014]

Hi Fofofo,

I'd like to discuss some of information on Jacob Hindriks Wester. The information I found on my direct ancestor (and that of you?) suggests that he was born circa 1767: the civil record of his death in 1835 notes his age as 68. I wonder if there really could be 5 years between his birth and baptism, as in my experience children were baptised very soon after birth. Another source gives me a date of baptism of 11 Nov 1765, but that can't be right... I also came up with this person's ancestors, but have the idea I've done something wrong somehow.

Parents: Hindrik Jacobs (b. 1732) and Engel Berents (b. 1739) Father's parents: Jacob Hindriks and Grietje Jans Mother's parents: Berent Jans Tuin and Elske Harms

Could you comment on these please?

Hello!

I was working on this person, a historic figure from the Netherlands. Couldn't help but notice that the parents that are named here are not coherent with the dutch Wikipedia, that names Herbaren II van der Lede as father.

I'm planning on changing this in a few days (unless you have compelling eidence of course).
