Edits [13 May 2008]

I am merging some of the pages that are in duplicate, triplicate or worse. That's why your pages got edited. I have kept all the information that was not redundant. --CTfrog 11:51, 13 May 2008 (EDT)

OK, thanks, I'll figure these things out as time goes by.--Feenerty 16:04, 13 May 2008 (EDT)

Redirecting [28 May 2008]

Hi Feenerty. I see we have some ancestors in common, e.g. Thomas Sherwood. :) Thank you for helping merge duplicate pages. Ideally, the goal is to have one page per family, so it's good to see others become aware of their duplicates and help work towards that goal. I wanted to help you though with the redirect portion. To redirect a page, the redirect syntax goes on the page being redirected. For instance, the following line -- #redirect [[Family:Joseph Trowbridge and Anne Sherwood (1)]] -- would go on your [[Family:Joseph Trowbridge and Anne Sherwood (3)]] page. It goes on the top line of the biography portion. Make sure you copy all the data you want to keep over to the main page before redirecting. See the help page on merging if you haven't already read it. If you need any help or have questions on anything, just leave a message here or on my user page. Good luck in your research. --Ronni 12:11, 28 May 2008 (EDT)

Thanks for your help. I did read the help section, and that is what I was attempting to do, but after awhile it became all jumbled in my head. Things tend to do that after 2:00 am. I made myself a note to revisit this evening to sort things out. In the meantime you came along and fixed my mess. I appreciate it.--Feenerty 12:56, 28 May 2008 (EDT)

Oh, it was nowhere near a mess. :) You're welcome though. Call on me anytime. --Ronni 13:21, 28 May 2008 (EDT)

Maybe you know this...FTE is not working for me, it wasn't working correctly last night, I thought it was me. That contributed to my confusion. It will not go anywhere other than my primary person. If I click a person on my list it goes to their page on the right, but will not go to the pedigree on the left, regardless of which buttons I push. Any ideas?--Feenerty 14:25, 28 May 2008 (EDT)

Oh, never mind. I logged out and back now it works. :)--Feenerty 15:23, 28 May 2008 (EDT)
