WeRelate is different from most family tree websites. By contributing to WeRelate you are helping to create Pando for genealogy, a free, unified family tree that combines the best information from all contributors. Now that you have uploaded LilyLuiten.ged, your next step is to review what your pages will look like, review any potential warnings, and combine (merge) people in your GEDCOM with matching people already on WeRelate. You need to review your GEDCOM before it can finish importing. We will keep your GEDCOM in the queue for two weeks to give you time to review it. Note: if your gedcom contains many errors or multiple families, we’d ask that you resolve and correct the errors, delete this gedcom and re-submit it without the errors before merging it with families already on WeRelate. If the gedcom is very large, we’d suggest breaking it up into separate files (or families) and importing them one at a time, which makes the review and correction process easier. Click here to review your GEDCOM Once you have finished your review and marked your GEDCOM Ready to import, one of our administrators will review your GEDCOM and finalize the import. This usually happens within 24 hours. You will receive a message here when the pages have been created.

[add comment] [edit] Athersmith Ulverston [7 August 2013]--aitch 04:06, 7 August 2013 (EDT) [add comment] [edit] Athersmith Ulverston [7 August 2013]Hello Daryl, My name is Helen Brown, I come from Ulverston in Cumbria, although I don't live there anymore; I'm now in Barnard Castle in County Durham. I too have been researching my family tree (and those of my 3 ex husbands, when I'm bored), I should say that I've not been married for 30 years and am excruciatingly happy about that scenario. I've been using and 'paying' for Ancestry.com for many years but have become frustrated at the expense and inefficiency of the system, so earlier this year I quit. But the hunger for historical information and people stories wouldn't leave me alone, and yesterday I found and registered on this site. It looks great but my my it sure is complicated. I've done a fair bit of research on my paternal ancestors, the Athersmiths, or Arrowsmiths as they appear to have been called in another era long ago. My father was the son of Jane Hall Athersmith and Frederick George Brown, both born in Ulverston; a rather scary family these Athersmiths, especially when you go back to their early life when they lived in the infamous street, Rattan Row (or Rotten Row as my father used to call it). They certainly weren't afraid of conflict, or hard work, or marriage for that matter, there are, indeed, a few complicated examples of those around. Anyway, I just thought I'd make contact as I kept coming across you when I looked through the Athersmith history that you've managed to put on the site. I must say, I haven't quite got my head around how all this works, I have only managed to put one page in so far, but haven't figured the rest out yet, but am determined that I will learn. For now, kindest regards, helen--aitch 04:37, 7 August 2013 (EDT) [add comment] [edit] Terence Morgan [8 August 2016]Hi Daryl, My parents were Colin and Muriel Morgan, my grandparents were Sammy and Margaret Morgan, Florence and Harry Hetherington. My parents Colin and Muriel and my brother Ian died due to a car accident on the motorway in !965, I was 5 years old (I was in the car accident but survived), my brother was eight years old and my parents were 32 years old. My uncle was Terence Morgan who according to 'We Relate' was born in 1937 and died in 1994. Do you know Terence's cause of death? I am told it was heart related and it works out he was 56 years old when he died. I am currently 56 years old and having chest pains, Doctors/Consultants keep asking me about family history, unfortunately my parents died young which is what they are most interested in. I was raised by my grandparents (Florence and Harry) they never really became friendly with the Morgan side of the family so I grew up with very little contact, as I felt it would upset them if I made contact. I went to see my Grandad Sammy Morgan (I was 20 years old) when my grandparents (Florence and Harry) died in 1980 to try and re-connect but he wasn't keen and said it was too late. Unfortunately I have had little contact with any of my remaining Morgan family in Barrow in Furness, mostly due to me not making the effort. Hope you are well, it would be good to hear more about you.--Paul57 08:45, 8 August 2016 (UTC) |
